Hurricane Preparedness Tips
- Have a Supply Kit: Ensure your emergency supply kit is ready to go and includes essential items like water, non-perishable food, batteries, flashlights and a first aid kit. View the Florida Division of Emergency Management's full suggested supply list by clicking here.
- Flood and Evacuation Zones: Know your flood evacuation zones, if needed, ahead of the storm. Find interactive versions of both maps here.
- Stay Informed: Watch for weather updates and emergency alerts from official sources. Following the Town's and Palm Beach County's communication channels as well as watching local news stations is the best way to stay updated on Hurricane Milton's track and the impacts it will have on the area.
- Avoid Trimming: Do not trim trees or vegetation until the storm has passed.
- Clean Swales: Ensure your swales are free of debris. The Town's stormwater team is also out in the field making sure the stormwater drains are clear of debris, especially in areas prone to flooding.
Report Issues Using the JupConnect App
In a storm, the Town's JupConnect app is the easiest and fastest way to report issues, including flooding, structural damage, power outages and more to the Town. The app is free to download and use. Learn more about JupConnect or download the app at jupiter.fl.us/JupConnect.
